Had a styling session with Max last weekend and it was a great experience. Both Max and Elijah were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I wanted to push my style a bit, and Max totally nailed it with the pieces he pulled. No pressure to buy anything, and I really appreciated how upfront he was when something didn’t suit me. Definitely worth the drive from Durham. I'll be back!

The only thing my husband wanted for Father's Day was a styling session as Fancy Groceries. So we packed our toddler, drove to Winson Salem, and spent the afternoon meeting with Max. He really understood my husband's style potential and made great item selects across the board. We went home with ~8 pieces from shirts to denim to shoes. More than anything, I absolutely love the ambiance of the store. Not only are the clothes curated so incredibly well but there was plenty of seating, great customer service who kept checking on us, and I saw several people come in, purchase or peruse while we were there. We'll be back!

Had a wonderful experience with the store owner, Max. Walked in just to see what was going on, walked OUT with U.S.A. made selvedge Japanese denim. The entire store exudes a certain quality of elegance, sophistication, and kindness. If you care about quality fashion items, you owe it to yourself to check this place out.

Discovered today and easily my favorite store in Winston! So many unique pieces. Owner is incredibly nice and knowledgeable. Looking forward to going back in the future.

Thrilled to have a high-end, high-quality, on-trend menswear store in Winston. My husband was thrilled, and we were quite impressed to find a store like this that could easily fit in in Manhattan or London. It is clearly thoughtfully curated and lovely to visit.

Fancy Groceries is like nothing else I have experienced. It’s not food, it’s a men’s store. High-end but also top quality. I was honestly attracted to the name because I come from Detroit, where my father and grandfather owned grocery stores. I noticed the owner also making some coffee for a customer. Fancy Groceries is second to none when it comes to curating high-quality clothing. The store itself is warm and welcoming. It feels like a place you can just hang out at and have a cup of coffee. Max and Elijah are always super kind and have done an excellent job of creating a sense of community at their shop.

My friend Jae told me about Selvedge Denim and Fancy Groceries, and I went into full obsession mode - articles, videos, etc. We went together to find a pair of jeans, and Max helped with the fit (tried on 3 pairs of different brands of the same size), and the Tellason Sheffields were perfect. Great experience talking denim with Max, and he hemmed them perfectly. Awesome shopping experience!

My husband and I stopped in looking for a few pieces for his work week. Max was courteous, super helpful, and gave great feedback on fit/style. It felt like a personal fitting rather than just shopping. While there we grabbed a nice cup of coffee and then jumped over to Little Pep for lunch (check out that review- also a 5* experience). We will definitely shop here again!

I want to add to the well deserved heap of praises for Fancy Groceries. My wife and i stopped in while visiting Winston-Salem for the day, and just loved the place and the offerings. I ended up with a very unique pair of Turkish shoes which now feel like "buttah" - and they're not even broken in yet. Very pleased! Max and the staff were just great to interact with. My only complaint is that I don't live closer so I could be a regular. This is as close to one stop shopping for any guy who cares about his appearance as one could get!
